In this letter, Barrett Browning asks whether Haworth is to be married and if so to whom. She mentions Mr. Spicer. She also writes that she fell ill when first in Paris due to a ‘cold house’ but now the weather has improved and she is much better and able to write including letters. She says they will be there till 15 June then go to London for three months. Chalres Dickens lives opposite them and Mrs. Dickens has called on her, however Barrett Browning and Dickens do not share the same views on spiritualism. She mentions seances in Florence. Barrett Browning says if Haworth is to marry a German, she should not go and live in Stuttgart. She concludes the letter: 'I am more than curious– I love you, dear Fanny—& you should’nt throw your lovers into fits of anxiety with letters such as this.'
