<value>This is a letter written from London, England. In this letter, Barrett Browning says she is full of ‘tender sympathy & pity’ for Haworth following the death of Haworth's mother. She says both she and Robert Browning are engaged on Sunday so cannot see Haworth then but will try to do so on another day. She says Haworth will be better when she ‘is gone’, as Haworth is currently disposing of her mother’s effects and closing up her house in London. She asks whether Haworth will come to them.

This letter has been transcribed in 'The Brownings' Correspondence', vol. 23, p 3. (Kansas: Wedgestone Press, 2016). It is transcribed online via The Brownings' Correspondence project, numbered 3813.</value>
