<value>This is a letter written from Florence, Italy. In this letter, Barrett Browning says that Robert Browning doesn’t know Mrs. Hay’s address. She also says this ‘temporary vexation must be borne’ perhaps in reference to Haworth's recent bout of measles. She says that Robert Browning is drawing beautifully:, ‘he goes twice a week to M. Mignaty, to see him draw from a nude model,—a man,—& the advantage is great, Robert says–’. Barrett Browning is very sorry Haworth is not comfortable and says that Florence streets are noisy throughout.

This letter has been transcribed in 'The Brownings' Correspondence', vol. 25, p. 92. (Kansas: Wedgestone Press, 2017). It is transcribed online via The Brownings' Correspondence project, numbered 4163.</value>
