<value>This is a letter written from St Honoré, France. In this letter, Barrett Browning says they have taken an apartment in a hotel near the Tuileries. Paris is very beautiful but very cold for they are now acclimatised to a different climate. She discusses their travel and how travel insulates one from missives from the outside world. Barrett Browning was very sad to leave Italy as was Pen. Nonetheless, they are admiring everything in Paris ‘from cutlets to costumes’.

This letter has been transcribed in 'The Brownings' Correspondence', vol. 25, p. 152–154. (Kansas: Wedgestone Press, 2017). It is transcribed online via The Brownings' Correspondence project, numbered 4204.</value>
