Haworth has requested the use of Barrett Browning's signature. Half a page of this letter has been excised likely, as indicated in the first paragraph, as a note to a publisher, presumably Chapman and Hall, on Miss Haworth’s behalf. Barrett Browning says that Haworth is good to write when Barrett Browning herself has not written. She says she is a ‘ghost’ in the ‘upper world’ though getting some warmth and comfort being close to her sister Arabella. Barrett Brownings discusses seances and mentions Lady Trelawney, Miss Andrews and Mrs Crosland. She also refers to an issue with Haworth ’s house in Brompton and a letter from Mrs. Sophia Eckley who praises her too much. She can’t advise regarding Haworth possibly going to Rome and taking a companion in Ellen Heaton, or when they will go to Rome. Isa Blagden will not to go Bagni ever as she doesn’t like it and will probably go to Leghorn or Elba instead. Finally Barrett Browning asks for some spiritual news from England.
