The political turmoil in addition to the weather worsened her health. However just as she was ready to bid \u2018farewell to this world\u2019 she recovered. They are now in Siena and she is improving as are public affairs. She talks of their future travel plans and that their winter will be spent either at Rome or Florence. She praises Haworth\u2019s writing in Chambers which she has read, however says she pities Haworth \u2018desolately wandering about Germany\u2019.\n\nThis letter has been transcribed in 'The Brownings' Correspondence', vol. 26, pp. 256\u2013258.
