She says she is ‘recovering strength’ but needs to have more strength to fully enjoy the ‘country life’. She further comments on Pen: ‘He is rather a town baby, as Flush is a town dog.’. They are very sorry but do not have room to take Blagden in. Barret Browning asks whether Blagden is decided about Vallombrosa. She hopes to see much of her in Florence if not in Siena.
