In this letter, Barrett Browning discusses the predicament they (the Brownings) have been in regarding going to Rome and their concerns that Rome would be too hot for their son and the cost of the journeys to Rome and Naples as well as Paris and England at a later stage. Instead they have decided to go to Venice then will make their way across the continent to Paris and England. They are taking Elizabeth Wilson with them and their friends the Ogilvys will go with them until Venice. Barrett Browning thanks Blagden for \u2018finding us an apartment\u2019 and asks her to write to them at Venice, She says they will see her again in Italy or in Paris. She briefly discusses Sacred Scripture and its translations. Barrett Browning says they hope Blagden has enjoyed Rome.
