Annie Thackery feels shy to go to visit Blagden alone so Robert Browning has ‘offered to go as chaperone’ however he may put this off due to other engagements as he has recently received several invitations: Miss Watkins Wynns for example., where he received ‘the last political news’ from Milnes Gaskell MP. She asks about Blagden’s knee and whether Miss Hayes and Miss Hosmer will come with Blagden on Wednesday. She says ‘do as you like about asking them’.
