<value>This is a letter written from Florence, Italy. Barrett Browning says that though she is seeing Blagden tonight she wants to give her thoughts on Blagden poetry on paper. She praises Blagden's poems and says they surpassed her expectations. She has revised her opinion and likes the long poem best. Robert Browning will also look at them. They hope to return the poems to Blagden this evening. Towards the end of the letter, Barrett Browning gives specific feedback on Blagden's poetry.

This letter has been transcribed in 'The Brownings' Correspondence', vol. 20, pp. 294–295 (Kansas: Wedgestone Press, 2013). It is transcribed online via The Brownings' Correspondence project, numbered 3462.</value>
