Blagden has been \u2018perfectly blameless\u2019 in the situation which is a \u2018comfort\u2019 to them both \u2013 these remarks appear to be in reference to Lytton. Barrett Browning says \u2018If these things do not end themselves, at any rate my first going out will be to your villa. But I hope, I hope .. I trust indeed \u2026\u2019.
