She criticises Gallenga’s ‘detestable English wife’ (referring to Antonio Gallenga and Anna Robinson). She says Gallenga is willing to translate the pamphlet then asks about Lytton and comments on his poem. She is ‘astonish[ed]’ by Blagden’s comments on Félicie de Fauveau and advocates frank communication between them. She comments on Blagden staying at the Tassinari’s still and says that Hetty (Harriet Hosmer) says she will go to Blagden for the ‘whole summer’.
