<value>This is a letter written from Rome, Italy. This is a short fragment in which Barrett Browning tells the end of an anecdote. She says that Mrs Mackenzie will be here some time longer and sends her love to the Brackens. She says that the Hawthornes are gone and that Una Hawthorne is quite recovered.

This letter has been transcribed in 'The Brownings' Correspondence', vol. 26, pp. 160–161 (Kansas: Wedgestone Press, 2019). It is transcribed online via The Brownings' Correspondence project, numbered 4412.</value>
