She is pleased with the positive reception of Agnes Tremorne for example in the Globe. She comments on Lytton’s poems. She has written to Thackeray with a new contribution to show she is not ‘sulky’ after his last rejection and describes her back and forth with Thackeray on morality. She asks regarding the funeral service for Alfredo and Emilio Savio. She has written a poem on the topic ‘Mother & Poet’ which Robert Browning considers one of her best and sent it onto America. She makes further comments on the Italian political situation and comments on Louise Collet's writing and Callet's ‘very poor’ poems. Nonetheless she would still have like to see Collet who is described as ‘brilliantly beautiful’.
