<value>This is a letter written from Siena, Italy. In this short note, Barrett Browning says Mr Landor and Mr Walker (Arthur de Noé Walker) may possibly be visiting Blagden for tea, in which case the four of them (possibly including Miss Hooker) can visit tomorrow. She thanks Blagden for the magazine. Robert Browning has spoken to James E. Freeman. Barrett Browning ends by saying ‘Lamoriciere has been cut off from Ancona by a forced march of the Piedmontese general Cialdini– Admirable news–’.

This letter has been transcribed in 'The Brownings' Correspondence', vol. 28, p. 151 (Kansas: Wedgestone Press, 2022). It is transcribed online via The Brownings' Correspondence project, numbered 4742.</value>
