Mr Dicey feels for Mazzini but Barrett Browning is \u2018stern\u2019. She asks whether Blagden is at Casa Guidi and to go there if not. She mentions Hatty (Harriet Hosmer). She missed yesterday\u2019s post so adds onto the letter \u2018here is a letter from Lytton\u2019. Fanny Haworth is in Paris. Mrs Bracken\u2019s child Beppa is ill and Annette will surely be grieved. She asks after Elizabeth Jarves. She makes mention of the medium John Rollin M. Squire being in Paris. Barrett Browning calls Blagden \u2018one of my lamps of the world\u2019.
