object type: Linen fragment embroidered in polychrome silks in darning, chain and double running stitch.  A group of embroideries, worked in bold colours and almost crudely drawn.  There is a large central medallion and the stylized flower heads are possibly a version of the eight-pointed star motif. One also finds small bird and floral sprig motifs on this fragment.
