Four fragments, possibly from an embroidered furnishing rather than a skirt border, are joined to form part of a chasuble or cope. A band of couched metal thread is worked down the centre. The pattern is formed of two bands of alternating sirens and two headed eagles, both placed above two handled vases. From the siren holding her tails spring spiral, floral scrolls of roses and tulips, which shelter a long bodied bird. Upon each scroll sits an imp with a leaf sprig in its hand. At each side of the base of the vase there are floral prays with a hare and Dachshund motif. Sprays sprout from the back of the eagles. In the second band, carnations sprig from the eagles back and from their beak a spiral scrolling spray of carnations.
