<value>Linen darning sampler embroidered with polychrome silks in pattern darning and cross-stitch. The edges of the sampler are glued to a board. The sampler contains twelve damask darn pattern blocks, arranged in three regular rows of four. These are enclosed in a wide and naturalistic floral border. Underneath the bottom row and inscription which reads 'De Baets Chez M. Clavareau' is worked in cross-stitch.</value>
