object type: The all over pattern is based upon a strongly geometricised flower, four of which form a star shaped motif.  The flowers are alternately purple & green on one diagonal and yellow and pink on the other.  These motifs form a border to the back of the cushion.  Both front and back are edged with a plait of silk with loops upon the front through which pass bolster shaped buttons made of interlaced silk which one attached to the back by tight loops in the plait itself.
