Cream silk ribbon. Steel rivet and washers. Front: below the ribbon there are seven Gothic arches, the 1st, 3rd, 5th and 7th ornamented in gold with touches of blue and white. The 2nd, and 6th are painted en grisaille with a blue background, and the fourth en grisaille with a purple background, with three of La Fontaine's fables: 'The Cock and the Pearl', 'The Milkmaid and the Pot of Milk', and 'The Wolf and the Stork'. The spandrels between the arches are decorated with quatrefoil flowers and scrolling foliage. Below the panels there is a band of pierced stylized plants. Above the ribbon, the pinnacles are pierced by stylized plants and set with cut steels. Back: undecorated.
