Sticks of pierced ivory with applied gold foil and varnished paintings. Guards pierced, carved, painted and inlaid with gold foil and backed with mother-of-pearl (18+2). Rivet set with clear pastes. Front: three medallions on a puce background, decorated with sprays of blue flowers and gold garlands. In the large oval cartouche in the centre, there are two sitting women, one knitting, one with flowers in her lap, and a boy carrying a basket of flowers on a stick. The background comprises, a cloth draped over a column and an urn on a pedestal and buildings to the left. The tow smaller flanking medallions show putti making music on the right and drawing on the left. a thin gold pattern sits on the top and lower border, a gold twig on the left and the top edging is of gold foil. Back: Two buildings and trees sit on a little island (the same as in the background on the front leaf) bordered by flowers in blue and pink. Sticks: Three different pairs of sticks: putti on a panel with pierced parts on the bottom and on top, two columns and two sticks forming a pierced panel with a vase of flowers.
