object type: Canvas, embroidered with polychrome silks in tent stitch.   Ruyi symbols at top, wave pattern at bottom.   Centrally placed, variously shaped lozenges enclosing calligraphy, on a ground of small repeated geometric patterns with half-lozenges at top containing stylised flowers.   Case partially lined with purple silk, stiffened with thin board.   Sewn-in end of black silk.   Side edges and tops bound with blue and cream woven silk ribbon.   Flat blue cord with one pink glass bead.
