object type: Dark blue satin embroidered with polychrome silks in Pekinese, long and short stitch; silver and gilt metallic threads in Pekinese stitch and couched.  Ruyi symbol at top.  On each side six cranes amongst clouds.  Case partially lined with red silk, stiffened with thin board, sewn-in end of matching dark blue satin with knot worked in couched gilt metal thread.  Side edges and tops bound with cream and blue woven ribbon.
