object type: Silver; the low circular has a moulded lip ring, bombé sides and a slightly rounded bottom.  It sits on a low collet foot with moulded foot ring. Below the rim embossed and chased in relief in  Arts and Crafts style lettering is the inscription: 'NATHANIEL WILLIAM LAWRENCE HIS BOWL FROM HIS GODFATHER EDWARD THOMAS MOSHITER APRIL 20 1908' followed by a briar rose on a stem with two lateral shoots each bearing three leaves. The underside of the base is engraved 'OMAR RAMSDEN & ALWYN CARR MADE ME'
