  <description>
    <value>Soft-paste porcelain sweetmeat stand or pickle stand, decorated underglaze in blue. The stand is composed of three shell-shaped dishes, each with a conical foot, arranged triangularly, joined in the centre by a 'sponge' with applied shells, from the middle of which rises a handle in the shape of a dolphin with its tail in the air. Each dish is painted with a seated Chinese figure playing a musical instrument beside a table, with a landscape background and round the edge, four symbols.</value>
