<notes>Cf., pl.188, for the pattern. Cf., pp. 17-18, where the author notes that the pattern is used almost exlusively on teawares, and that the name 'Temple' is used many times in the Chamberlain correspondence. Cf., pl. 75, for a tea service with the shape which was used during the 1780s and 1790s. Cf. p.50. Many blue and white wares were sent to the Chamberlains at Worcester for gilding, and the correspondence for 13th August, 1789, mentions 'Temple best teas'.</notes>
