object type: Soft-paste porcelain covered perfume vase, painted in polychrome enamel-colours and gilt. Ovoid body with elaborate rococo handles and four scroll feet, the neck and cover pierced. The body is decorated with a turquoise oeil de perdrix ground and with two oval reserves, one painted with the Trojan women carrying away the body of Polyxena, the other with a Dutch genre scene in the manner of Teniers. The handles, feet and piercing are outlined in gold.
