The shoulders are decorated with panels printed in reserve in blue with the words ‘.ELIZABETH.’ ‘.& PHILIP.’ ‘.MARRIED.’ ‘.NOV.20TH 1947’. These alternative with panels of roses and foliage. The sides have spaced rows of the initials EP in gold., and on the underside of the base in gold is an inscription, ‘THE MARRIAGE OF H.R.H./PRINCESS ELIZABETH/TO LIEUT.
