The sides have spaced rows of the initials EP in gold., and on the underside of the base in gold is an inscription, ‘THE MARRIAGE OF H.R.H./PRINCESS ELIZABETH/TO LIEUT. PHILIP.MOUNTBATTEN/R.N.’ surrounding the factory’s backstamp.
