    <value>Soft-paste porcelain, figure slip cast with applied details, painted overglaze in blue, green, pale yellow, flesh, a little red, reddish-brown, brown, and black, and gilt. The underside is unglazed, and has a large circular ventilation hole in the centre, and three patch marks. The irregularly shaped rocky base has at the back, a broken-off tree trunk with a short branch bearing leaves on either side, and at the front three applied flowers andleaves. The putto sits on a rock in front of the tree holding the falcon on his right wrist and a leading string in his left hand. He has brown hair, white wings,  and a small white drape with a bold edge and blue and red dotted pattern. The falcon has a pale yellow breast, reddish-brown plumage, and a gilt crest. Its leading string is black. The base and tree are roughly painted  in green and reddish-brown.</value>
