The dog has a black patch over its left brow and ear and spots on the right side of its face. Its nose and whiskers are black; its mouth is outlined in purple. A hole to take a cord for suspension is pierced through its muzzle. The area round the mouthpiece was originally gilt and has remnants of gilding on it.</value>
