On the lower body, a double incised line enhanced with thicker slip under the glaze encircles a pattern of interlocking opposed triangles decorated with light brown pigment, and a panel of pseudo calligraphy enhanced with extra slip under the glaze and framed with dark brown pigment. Exterior: beige surface colour produced by undecorated yellow glaze over a pinkish slip D: Shape: small irregular fragment, with rounded thin walls Interior: yellow glaze applied over a cream slip, an isolated group of incised lettering enhanced with a thicker layer of slip creating a relief effect and paler tone under the glaze, and a patch of green glaze, on the rim a double incised line is decorated underneath with a scalloped band.
