object type: Bronze, cast, with dark brown patina, slightly polished. From a group of St George and the Dragon. The beast has short legs, but large wings; the tail is curling to its right. It has four large claw-feet, the right fore-feet being raised. The neck and head are raised and turned to the left, the jaws are opened and a long tongue curls up between the fangs. There is a hook at the end of the snout.
