It is circular, with a sloping rim, shallow sloping sides, and an almost flat centre, standing on a foot ring. The plate is decorated in the centre with a lady and two little boys, surrounded by jars and vases. On the sides there is a purple diaper pattern interrupted by six half flowerheads. On the rim there is a different purple diaper pattern interrupted by three shaped circular medallions outlined in blue, containing a gold dragon on a brown ground, and three oblong shaped panels containing floral sprays.
