The ewer stands on a footring. It has a globular body with facetted sides, a tall cylindrical neck with projecting rim, a tall slightly curved spout, and an S-shaped handle with an upper dragon's head terminal. One side of the body is decorated with a large rock with branches of flowers and foliage on each side of it. The other side has a smaller rock and one branch of flowers and foliage on the right and two sprigs on the left. The domed stopper is striped in red and has reversed gadrooning radiating from a pierced ball finial, the top of which is also red.
