    <value>Hard-paste porcelain decorated underglaze in blue, in enamel colours and gold in Imari style.  The vessel is oval shaped with two handles, four feet, and a lion finial surrounded by modelled petals on the cover.  On each side there is a spray of flowers and foliage which continues onto the cover; one flower on each side and two on the cover have pierced centres.  Round the edge of the base there is a petal border.  The handles, the lion, and the upper rim of the vessel are gilt.  The base is unglazed.

Numbered roku (six) inside the body in unglazed blue, and inside the lid in iron red.</value>
