The underside has a glazed depression in the centre. The Turk stands on a shallow straight-sided rectangular base dappled here and there in pale brown. He steps forward on his right foot, and holds his right hand on his hip and has his left hand stretched out in front. He has greyish brown brows and moustache, and wears a tall yellow hat which conceals his hair.
