    <value>Hard-paste porcelain painted in enamels</value>
  </description>
  <description>
    <value>Hard-paste porcelain, press-moulded, glazed, and painted in lime green, yellow, pale red, purple, pale brown, brown, and black enamels, and gilt. The closed underside is unglazed and has a small round ventilation hole in the middle. The flat base is oval with asymmetrically placed shallow scrolls at the front and back. The young apple wife sits on a brown stool with her right leg advanced, and rests her right forearm on a wooden barrel filled with red and yellow apples. She turns her head to her left and holds out an apple in her left hand. She wears a green hat with a purple ribbon round the crown, and red zig-zags under the brim; a pale purple neckerchief, a white chemise with elbow-length sleeves, a red bodice, green skirt; white apron scattered with purple flowerheads, and black shoes. In front of the barrel there is a small pale brown cylindrical measure bearing an impressed rautenschild.</value>
