The underside of the base is concave with a blunted conical support in the centre, and a ventilating hole in the back right corner. It is glazed, except for the wide flat edge. The shallow square base is topped by a smaller square area with grey-green foliage on the two front corners, and a tall, forked tree stump in the back right corner. Paris stands with his left foot advanced, leaning on the stump, and holding in both hands the handle of a staff which is missing.
