The slightly concave underside is glazed except for the flat area round the edge, and has a circular ventilation hole at the back. The square low rocky base has a tree stump at the back which supports the figure, and on the sides and front is decorated with applied leaves and four blue and one yellow flower. The Albanian soldier stands on both feet with the right slightly advanced. He looks towards his right, and has his right arm bent with the hand resting on his hip. In his left hand he holds the barrel of a long musket, the butt end of which rests on the ground by his side. He has a greyish-black moustache and red lips. His hair is covered by a bag-shaped hat with a dark pink and gold edge, a white shirt with dangling , a bright blue jacked with gold edges and buttons down the front, a yellow sash, dark pink baggy breeches, yellow socks, and red shoes.
