The undecorated shallow base is of a rounded, narrow triangular form and rises up at the back to support the figure. The pedlar woman stands on her right leg with her left advanced, raising her head and looking towards her left. She holds up her apron in both hands. She has a delicately tinted features, and greyish-brown hair held back by a black ribbon clasp. She wears a purple scarf round her throat, a white blouse with elbow-length sleeves, a yellow bodice with pale purple stripes, a pale green apron, a pink skirt with dark pink hem and border, and black shoes.
