The pedlar woman stands on her right leg with her left advanced, raising her head and looking towards her left. She holds up her apron in both hands. She has a delicately tinted features, and greyish-brown hair held back by a black ribbon clasp. She wears a purple scarf round her throat, a white blouse with elbow-length sleeves, a yellow bodice with pale purple stripes, a pale green apron, a pink skirt with dark pink hem and border, and black shoes.
