object type: Red stoneware cut and polished; silver lid. Rectangular with straight sides and top, which has a rectangular aperture in the middle into which the cover fits. It is decorated on all sides with cut daisies, tulips, stylized flowers, sprays of leaves, insects and snakes. The lid is engraved with a spray of leaves across the corners and a fruit in the centre surrounding the knob.
