object type: On a broad seat, with a pillar right and left, forming the rim of the plaquette, the Virgin is seated three-quarters to left, with the nude Child on her knees, bending to the right towards a globe on which his left hand is resting. At her feet two putti lift the folds of her mantle. Two other putti are standing on the cushion of her seat, the one on the right plays on a flute, the other holds the Virgin's hair. Behind the Virgin's head is the back of the draped throne, with garlands on which two putti are standing linking it to the side pillars. Raised base line. Dark green patina. Hole at top.
