Cylindrical with straight sides, everted at the base and rim. The domed pull-off lid has a wrythen knop. Each side has two suspension loops, through which a cord would have been threaded. Decorated with panels of scrolling foliage on a matted ground within reeded borders. The pyx would once have painted all over, but only small areas of red and gold remain.
