object type: Carved carnelian and agate with gold and silver mounts, set with crystals.  Oval carnelian sealstone with an intaglio shield containing a coat-of-arms held by Britannia resting on clouds.  Agate handle carved in the round with the masks of three black figures, one bearded, above is a domed cap engraved with rope-work, and beneath is a collar set with twenty-seven rose-cut crystals; standing on a domed base with reeded gold rim mount.  The suspension loop comprises a gold trefoil above a silver scroll set with nine small pastes.
