object type: Gilt metal, embossed and chased.  Shaped triangular body, oval in section, with hinged lid and sprung button clasp.  Decorated with two vignettes of cherubs within scroll borders and rocaille decoration.  The fitted interior contains a folding knife with a silver-gilt hallmarked blade (A), a pair of ivory memorandum leaves hinged with a gilt button (B), a pair of scissors (C), a stiletto (D) and a bodkin (E).
