The dark blue rim is decorated with gold scrolls and palmettes with turquoise or red centres. The outer edge is white with gold slanting lines over it to resemble knurling on metalwork. The centre of the back is white, decorated in gold with a star formed by eight leaves, surrounded by scattered stars.
