    <value>Linen, embroidered with cotton polychrome threads in various cross stitches, double running, herringbone, pether satin, whipped, laid and couched, and eyelet stitches. A repeat double cross-stitch border encloses half and full bands of narrow repeat patterns with a centrally placed flower-pot motif at the bottom flanked by the initials MP and the date 1956.</value>
